RENEWABLE ENERGY MONTH - NIAMEY

As part of its Executive Committee’s action plan, WAGEDO launched the “WAGEDO Renewable Energy Month” a regional initiative designed to promote clean energy solutions and awareness. This special program was successfully held across four West African countries, Côte d’Ivoire, Senegal, Togo, and Niger bringing together stakeholders, experts, and youth to opportunities, discuss and challenges, highlight share innovative approaches to renewable energy and climate action. In Niger, it happened on March 1st, 2025, WAGEDO organised Renewable Energy Month in Niger under the theme “Climate Change and Renewable Energy,” with discussions on greenhouse gas emissions and green hydrogen. The event provided a platform to tackle climate challenges and highlight renewable energy’s role in a sustainable future for West Africa.
